JOBST® FarrowWrap® Strong Upper Extremities

The JOBST® FarrowWrap® STRONG Upper Extremities are adjustable compression garments designed to maintain edema reduction, prevent new swelling and manage lymphoedema. It comes with an adjustable VELCRO® brand hook & loop system that allows patients to respond better to fluctuating edema levels by simply tightening and loosening the wrap throughout the day.  

The JOBST® FarrowWrap® STRONG Upper Extremities are adjustable compression garments that provide the advantages of multi-layer bandaging which consists of VELCRO® brand hook & loop engineered for easy application. 

You can easily adjust the wrap using the VELCRO® brand bands to accommodate changes in edema levels during the day by tightening or loosening as required throughout the day. The bands' overlapping design provides essential support for managing edema and helps reduce the risk of swelling forming between the bands. 

Some of the key attributes of JOBST® FarrowWrap® STRONG Upper Extremities include: 

Available in 30-40 mmHg compression level. 

More rigid than JOBST® FarrowWrap® LITE and less stiff than JOBST® FarrowWrap® CLASSIC.  

Durable fabric with a soft inner layer, recommended for patients with moderate to severe edema. 

Comes with a liner to protect the skin.

What are the different compression classes?

Compression garments come in different compression classes, ranges, or levels. This description differs between regions or countries. In Germany, for example, the so-called RAL-GZG standard is dividing compression garments into four different compression classes from mild to very strong compression or class I-IV. The exact pressure of each compression garment is usually specified in millimeters of mercury (mmHg) and varies according to medical necessity. 

It is not always useful to assign a specific compression class to a certain condition, therefore Healthcare Professionals will make individual decisions on the suitability of a certain compression level for each patient. This is usually based on the clinical condition itself, the patient’s tolerability for compression, additional conditions, and further individual needs. 


How to use the product

To use JOBST® FarrowWrap® STRONG Upper Extremities follow the product-specific donning instructions provided on the back of the insert card. Please also follow your healthcare provider’s instructions. 


How to care for the product

JOBST® FarrowWrap® STRONG Upper Extremities compression garment can be machine washed at 30°C with mild detergent. Do not use laundry additives such as fabric softener, optical brightener or stain remover.  Do not tumble dry. Do not wring or twist. Flat dry only. Do not dry the compression garment on a radiator or in direct sunlight. Do not use bleach, dry clean or iron.  

Extra tip: Fold the VELCRO® brand hook & loop fastener back on itself when removing the product or before washing. This will make it easier to reapply the product next time and avoid damaging the garment. Follow the provided care instructions to ensure a longer life span for your wrap.
